Britnell calls for Andrews Government to repair the Princes Highway

Member for South West Coast, Roma Britnell MP, has called for the Andrews Government to take immediate action and complete the repair of the Princes Highway between Allansford and Panmure, which is still not finished despite being under construction since 2020.

The ongoing delay in completing this critical infrastructure project is causing significant disruption to local business, residents and travellers. The dangerous and decaying roadwork has resulted in damaged vehicles, increased travel times and safety concerns for all road users.

“I call on the Andrews Labor Government to take immediate action and complete the repair of the Princes Highway between Allansford and Panmure” Ms Britnell stated.

“For three years we have been forced by Daniel Andrews to drive on this unsealed and dangerous worksite. We are not asking for the impossible, we just want safe roads to drive on.” Ms Britnell said.

“Regional Roads Victoria have confirmed that this was a flawed contract. The continued delay in completing the repairs is unacceptable. It’s time for Mr Andrews to explain to the people of South West Coast why after three years and millions of dollars we have an unfinished and dangerous road.” Ms Britnell stated.
