Member for South West Coast Roma Britnell says it will be business as usual for her Warrnambool electorate office during upcoming CBD renewal works.
Mrs Britnell said access to her Liebig Street office would be altered over the coming weeks as renewal works move into the next phase – but the office would maintain its normal hours – Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
She said to make it easier for people; she will meet those who don’t feel comfortable negotiating the works in a more convenient location.
“Mobile offices aren’t new – I do them in Portland and other areas around the electorate regularly,” Mrs Britnell said.
“But it’s going to be difficult for some people to access my Warrnambool office over the coming weeks.
“So if people don’t feel they can negotiate the works, they can give the office a call or send an email and we’ll arrange to meet somewhere more convenient – I still want to ensure I can listen to my constituents.
“Attending events, meeting with my constituents and listening to what they have to say is vital for me to be able to represent South West Coast and it’s one of my favourite things to do in this role.
“A ripped up footpath and closed road won’t stop me from doing that here in Warrnambool.”
