My question is to the Minister for Public Transport and I seek information about when people living with a disability can expect to be able to access facilities at the Warrnambool Railway station and on the Warrnambool train.
Minister there have been several incidents I have been made aware of where people in wheelchairs and other mobility aids have not been able to access the disabled toilets at the station and often disability access and toilets restricted on the train. One recent example involved a passenger using a mobility scooter becoming stuck in the door of the toilet in the station building because it is not up to acceptable standards and then not being able to board the train because there was not an appropriate ramp available.
So Minister when will people with a disability have the dignity of being able to access facilities on out public transport network.
