Last week the much-needed redevelopment of the Warrnambool Base Hospital took a step in the right direction with the purchase of land for a regional logistics distribution centre.
This is a positive step, but there need to be a few more steps taken as soon as possible to get the much-needed redevelopment of the hospital completed to ensure our hardworking nurses and doctors have the facilities they need to continue their life-saving work.
The stage 2 redevelopment must be fully funded in the upcoming budget to give my electorate a fit-for-purpose health facility.
