Out of excuses – State Government must now commit to Princes Highway west

The Andrews Labor Government has run out of excuses when it comes to Princes Highway West.

Daniel Andrews said he was waiting for the federal government’s Princes Highway corridor strategy – that has now been delivered and clearly shows what needs to be done and aligns with the priorities of the local Princes Highway West Alliance.

There is $60 million from the Federal Government waiting to be spent on improving the highway.

The money is there, the strategy is now there, the only thing missing is the interest of Daniel Andrews and Labor.

My petition calling on the State Government to fix our roads has had masses of support, with more than 8000 signatures from people right across the south-west.

I’m planning on tabling the petition in Parliament before the end of the year, it is evidence we have had enough, that we want our roads fixed and fixed properly and it will be hard for Daniel Andrews to ignore and brush aside.   Daniel Andrews can find billions of dollars for projects in the city but when it comes to fixing country roads, he’s continually looking for excuses, passing the buck and refusing to commit.
