I welcome news that Bega Cheese has bought the Koroit factory.
This is good news for Koroit, for the factory workforce, the south-west dairy industry and the entire region.
Bega is a great Australian company that is going through significant growth and has become a major player in the Australian dairy industry. The company having a greater presence in the country’s largest dairy producing region makes perfect sense.
I’ve have known Bega Cheese Executive Chairman Barry Irvin for many years and look forward to working with him as his company sets up in South West Coast.
