Submissions to the Inquiry into the Fire Services Reform Bill are now being accepted.
Member for South West Coast Roma Britnell encouraged anyone with an opinion on the planned reforms to make a submission to the parliamentary inquiry to ensure a wide range of views are being sought.
The committee has been tasked with investigating the proposed reforms impacts on fire service delivery across Victoria, effect on volunteer engagement and participation in fire service delivery, short term and long term cost impact on fire service provision and the underlying policy rationale.
“The committee process will allow the bill to be examined in close detail and allow for wide consultation, something Daniel Andrews didn’t do,” Mrs Britnell said.
“Anyone who has a view on this issue should make a submission to the inquiry to ensure their views are heard and considered.”
